Drug Delivery Systems

The term drug delivery systems was coined in the 1970’s to describe a series of technologies that would be used to develop finished medicinal products that were not immediate release. In reality a drug delivery system is any type of product that is used to administer the drug to the patient. It includes immediate release, as well as, modified and sustained release products. Drug delivery system is really another term for formulation.

FinnBrit Consulting can advise clients on the most appropriate drug delivery technology for their particular application. We can also help clients understand the advantages and disadvantages of different drug delivery systems.
